Apparel Resources is thrilled to partner with BAYLA (Bangladesh Apparel Youth Leaders Association) for Apparel Online Bangladesh (AOB) ’40 Under 40′ awards at the highly anticipated Fashion Tech Week (FTW) in Dhaka.
Dhaka’s much-awaited premier technology event – Fashion Tech Week 2024, is scheduled to happen on 15th-16th May at Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel and the AOB ’40 Under 40′ award ceremony will be held on the evening of 15th May 2024 at the venue.
Having established itself as a prominent B2B fashion media house for more than a decade in Bangladesh, Apparel Resources observed the ebb and flow of the RMG manufacturers in the country.
Since the reins are now passing to ‘Next-Gen’ Bangladeshi RMG entrepreneurs who are excelling in propelling the legacy forward with innovative business concepts, the flagship initiative of 40 Under 40 aims at recognising and celebrating the exceptional achievements of young RMG industry leaders in the country.
Every entrepreneur will have to fill a nomination form and also ensure that their nomination reaches team AOB on or before 5th May 2024. The special jury constituted by FTW will review the nominations/entries to select the right nominees for the award. One can nominate himself/herself, or be nominated by another individual or company.
The prospective contenders should meet the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:
- Nomination is open only for the members serving in the RMG industry of Bangladesh
- Should be below 40 years of age as of 15th May 2024
- Minimum work experience in the RMG industry should be 5 years
“It’s fantastic to be partnered with Apparel Resources for this first-ever initiative to celebrate the entrepreneurial journey of Bangladesh’s next-gen RMG business leaders. The initiative aligns closely with BAYLA’s goal. It’s a shout-out to the industry to show enthusiasm and make it a great success,” commented Abrar Sayem, President of BAYLA who is also the Director of Sayem Group and CEO of Merchant Bay.
“It is high time that the next generation of leaders in Bangladesh’s RMG industry receive global recognition, which is precisely why FTW ’24 Dhaka has taken the initiative. As a nomination-driven endeavour, we encourage not only self-nominations but also submissions for outstanding individuals under the age of 40 who are making significant contributions to their respective RMG businesses,” commented Bhumica Bansal, Director and Conference Head at Apparel Resources.
