Faruque Hassan, the president of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), met with S.M. Mohiuddin Milton, the managing director of Ontik Technology, a prominent technology company that specialises in digital solutions, to discuss ways to advance digital capabilities in Bangladesh’s garment industry.
Chief Marketing Officer Md. Tahmeed Abdullah and Director of Ontik Technology Radin Ahmed attended the meeting, which was held at the BGMEA Complex in Uttara, Dhaka.
The primary discussion points were the rapidly changing global trends in digital technologies and how they affect the ready-made clothing sector.
Both parties agreed that adopting IT solutions is essential to raising the production and efficiency of Bangladeshi textile factories and preserving their competitiveness in the digital age.
Faruque Hassan, president of BGMEA, emphasised the industry’s strong focus on technology advancement, particularly software solutions to optimise industrial processes.
He emphasised the need for collaborative efforts to provide garment factories with the latest software solutions and technical expertise to effectively implement them.
Both parties expressed hope for cooperative projects that will provide cutting-edge software to clothing companies to boost productivity and promote long-term expansion.
