The Chinese “twelfth five-year plan” has laid emphasis on growth of manufacturing segment, wherein garment machinery is a major sector, and with CISMA 2011 falling in the first year of the critical five-year plan, the highlight will be on the emergence of new brands and technologies focusing on ‘green’ production and technology.
Based on the theme “Quality, Efficiency, Green”, CISMA 2011 to be held in September, is positioned to propagate movement from “scale expansion and resource degradation” to “quality as the basic, and efficiency as the goal, while the green production will remain the principle”.
With the export value of textile and garments in China hitting a record high of US $ 206.53 billion in 2010, surging 23.59% year on year, no technology manufacturer can ignore the country for its potential. In this backdrop, CISMA is an important platform for technology providers from around the world to tap this huge market.
In an area of 1,00,000 square metres, and with 1008 companies already registered, the exhibition will see brands like Duerkopp, PFAFF, JUKI, Brother, Pegasus, Yamato, SunStar, Typical, SGSB, OJE, New Jack, Gemsy, Goldenwheel, Sibura, Gerber, Lectra, PGM, Yin, Kawakami, Eton, Twin Star, Veit, Weishi and Tajima display new and innovative technology for progressing towards a greener industry.
Among clothing and other downstream industries, green production is not only a matter of demand, but is also a driving force for fashion and industry. Today the customer’s expectations of “small input and large output” can only be met by machinery which has high performance and low consumption features.
In fact, during the past two years, the demand for equipments has seen a vital change due to factors such as labour shortage, rising costs, energy saving and low-carbon, which has in turn caused a soaring in market share of computerized equipments.
Compared to 2009, the production sale volumes for computerized sewing machines has increased more than 200% in 2010; the demand for automation of pre- and post-sewing has also greatly increased, which supports the cutting and hanging system in various clothing factories today. Special machines such as automatic spreaders, automatic cutting, automatic bag opening machine, automatic patch pocket machine, automatic placket machine have become a hot selling commodity in the market, which has not only solved the problem of labour shortage, but also has greatly improved the production efficiency, gaining to it increased popularity in a very short time. Observing the application results of CISMA exhibitors, the fair is hoped to deliver a glimpse of a promising market future.
Amongst the new exhibitors this year, a major chunk is engaged in servo control systems, cutting, hanging systems, or other specialized models. As a leading line-cutting exhibitor, the Yin Electrical Technology Co. Ltd. in Shanghai has taken up a thousand square metres this year with high efficiency, energy saving and environmental protection features. While a number of international technologies, high-end cutting production of China will reveal its veil for the first time, the audiences are also likely to witness the whole manufacturing procedure of a garment including design (CAD, CAM), fabric inspection (inspection machine), fabric cutting (cutting, La devices), stitching (all types of sewing machines), and finishing equipment (iron, hanger system).
