Viet Tien Garment Corporation, one of the largest garment companies in Vietnam is valued at VND 1,120 billion, equivalent to US $ 50 million. This is the largest revenue-making garment company in Vietnam. Currently, the value of the company’s shares stands at VND 40,000.
Viet Tien has various brands under its umbrella — Sanciaro, Manhattan, TT-up, Viet Tien, Viettien Smartcasual and Viet Long.
Viet Tien exports garment products to 30 countries worldwide, US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Japan, and South Korea being the major partners. However, it still has to import raw materials mainly from China.
Formerly, the company was a private garment factory, founded by eight shareholders. But since the unification of Vietnam in 1975, the company has been handed over to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, while in 2007, the present Viet Tien Garment Company was founded.
Currently, the company has charter capital of VND 280 billion, of which the Vietnam Textile Garment Group (Vinatext) holds more than 47.9 per cent. Foreign shareholders, including two major shareholders from Hong Kong and Malaysia, own 6.7 million shares, equivalent to 24 per cent of charter capital.
