The 4th edition of the Child, Baby and Maternity Expo India, 2016 (CBME-India) is scheduled to be held at the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre in Mumbai from April 20 to 22.
Organised by India’s leading exhibition organiser UBM India, the event is expected to witness over 100 exhibitors, showcasing more than 300 brands to the retail and trade industry.
With its focus on children and maternity products, the expo would facilitate interactive forums like seminars, workshops and panel discussions on topics such as e-commerce and supply chain management and help establish strategic business alliances. There will be more than 25 exhibitors offering kidswear.
According to the organizer, world-renowned brands like J L Morrison, Mother Care, Me and Moms , Little’s (India), Bonny Products, TOONZ Retail, Chicco, Lovi and Smitten Baby are among those that will provide a wide spectrum of quality international products and technology. The trade fair will see participation from countries such as China, Hong Kong, Belgium, Italy, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, US, among others.
This year’s edition attractions include the launch of Cool Kids Fashion India, a first-of-its-kind event, highlighting premium kids fashion from both well-known and emerging designers, brands and manufacturers. It is a signature affair to position India on the map of the kids fashion industry.
Cool Kids Fashion India will include a complete overview of children’s clothing and accessories (age 0-14) and will showcase features such as Premium Exhibition, a fashion design contest for kids, trend forum launch pad, kids fashion gallery and workshops on merchandising and styling.
UBM India MD Yogesh Mudras says, “The domestic baby and childcare market is set for a big boom, and global players are making a beeline to the lucrative Indian market. Through the CBME-India 2016, we aim on fuelling the growing awareness of baby and child care while successfully getting the entire buyer and seller community on one platform.”
Last year, the event witnessed over 80 exhibitors, 150 global and Indian brands and over 4,000 visitors, as a result raising the industry’s expectations for its fourth edition.
