The 3rd edition of knitwear fair, Best Solution in Textile Manufacturing Fair (BSTIM), has concluded in Igualada, Spain on a successful note as it welcomed 1,400 visitors from around the world. The organisers say visitation was almost similar if compared to the previous two editions.
BSTIM 2017 featured around 60 manufacturing companies that presented their potential of production to buyers from countries such as Russia, England, Sweden, Norway, Holland and Italy. The visitors were mainly purchase managers, designers and distributors from fashion brands in Europe interested in finding suppliers in proximity.

According to exhibitors, the profile of the visitors was of high quality with high purchasing capacity, like Inditex, Corte Inglés or Cortefiel. Exhibitors were also left satisfied with around 500 of the first-time visitors, which allowed adding new contacts to those made during the previous editions.
Related to the idea of proximity this year, BSTIM focused on encouraging sustainable fashion. For this reason the main hall of the fair had a Showroom organized together with the Association Sustainable Fashion Barcelona, where the emphasis was on textile companies that take into consideration the social and environmental impacts of their manufacturing processes.
As BSTIM grew in its third edition, the organizer has decided to hold it biannually, to support that growth. The next edition of the fair will be held in 2019. “With this decision the fair adapts itself to the dynamic of the textile market. Only in a year the industrial sector has not enough novelties and the manufacturers do not generate enough capacities or services to present to brands and distributors,” organizer explain.
