Demonstrating a boost that everyone requires in the prevailing uncertain times, ‘Tangerine Tango’, an octane deep orange colour is the fashion colour of the year 2012 by Pantone. Already a prominent sight in the men’s and women’s wear of spring 2012 in collections of designer names including Tommy Hilfiger, Nanette Lepore, Cynthia Steffe by Shaun Kearney, Elie Tahari and Adrienne Vittadini, the orange colour has been gaining popularity and acceptance by all, over the past years, only to be announced as ‘the’ colour for coming seasons!
“Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®.
A winner amongst all, due to its versatility the colour is a big hit in all the categories of fashion, interiors as well as the cosmetics. The colour had a strong prominence in New York’s fashion week fall collection 2011.
