According to a recent press release, the Turkish Clothing Manufacturers’ Association (TGSD) has been hosting the Istanbul Apparel Conference for 17 years running. Over a thousand participants, including academics, industry professionals, and foreign and local government officials, attend each year.

The press release announced that this year’s 17th Istanbul Apparel Conference will be held on 16th and 17th October. Çıragan Palace Kempinski will host the conference. It has been decided that “Redefine, Realign, Re-Fashion” will be the central topic.

Turkish Clothing Manufacturers’ Association (TGSD) was established in 1976 to support the growth and development of the apparel industry by providing guidance, promoting businesses overseas, and getting manufacturers to cooperate.

With 450 members, TGSD represents 70 per cent of the value of Turkey’s garment exports. The largest network for clothing and textile companies in Turkey, TGSD covers the entire supply chain from beginning to end.
