The Fashion Design Council of Bangladesh has unveiled plans for Khadi Fest 2024, an annual celebration spotlighting Bangladesh’s cultural heritage.
Themed Khadi: The Future Fabric Show, the event is scheduled for 19th and 20th January, according to a press release.
This edition of the festival aims to emphasise Khadi’s enduring charm and its potential to shape the future of sustainable fashion.
Title-sponsored by Maya, and powered by HSBC with support from the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Berger, Rupayan Group, and Buy Here Now, the fest will feature a dedicated space showcasing a diverse range of eco-friendly Khadi apparel and accessories.
Renowned exhibitors and local heritage master craftsmen will exhibit their innovative heritage products.
The runway will come alive with Khadi-inspired collections presented by top designers from Bangladesh and beyond.
The exclusive two-day fashion show is reserved for invited guests.
On the first day, designers Jakia and Maysha, Abir and Tajbir, Faiza Ahmed, Tenzing Chakma, Ibalarihun, Afsana Ferdousi, Imam Hassan, Sadia Rashid Chowdhury, and Abhisek Roy will showcase their creations.
