Noida based ColorJet, pioneers in wide-format digital printers, has slowly and steadily earned a name for itself in the foreign-dominant digital printing market of the country. Along with its agent Apsom Infotex, the company will be showcasing two of its best solvent printers – ColorJet Neptune and ColorJet Terra – at the ITME 2012. The company defines its USP as a good return-on-investment, by not providing something to the customers that they do not require or are not ready for, informs Sultan Singh of ColorJet. “Low-cost printers start giving problem after one year or so, making it difficult to get the return-on-investment. This is where we have strengthened our product portfolio and given a definite advantage to our customers.”
ColorJet Neptune is 3.2 metre wide, which prints at 240 sq. ft. per hour at 720 dpi, utilizing Konica Minolta 512 based solvent printers, and is relatively stable throughout its lifespan. Endorsing the same, Sultan Singh added, “Our R&D and technical teams comprise of highly qualified and experienced technical professionals from Europe, US and Japan, who are focussed on developing printers with Drop-On-Demand (DOD) Inkjet Technology.” The ColorJet Neptune, based on DOD inkjet technology, ensures proper ink supply to utilize cost of print-head in terms of life, speed and quality, besides providing trouble-free operation. The other features of Neptune are the digital PID (Proportional–Integral–Derivative) controls for heaters, which according to ColorJet increases efficiency and reliability.
ColorJet Terra, meanwhile, is an upgraded model, which uses the Konica Minolta print-heads. It has an auto pressure purge for individual colours, and its unique design makes media management easier than ever. It is a 1.8 metre wide CMYKcm printer and it prints at 1,440 dpi at 120 sq. ft. per hour.
