The release of export data for June will be delayed while both the Bangladesh Bank (BB) and the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) resolve the data mismatch.
“It will be late this time because correction of data is going on and it is not possible to say exactly when the export data can be released,” reportedly said a senior official of the EPB asking not to be named.
On the second or third day of the next month, the EPB usually provides the export statistics for that month.
However, it has taken longer to release the export data for June, the last month of a fiscal year, following the BB’s revelation that the fiscal year 2023–24’s July–April export earnings were almost US $ 14 billion less than the EPB’s estimates.
