Even as Bangladesh has hiked fuel prices significantly of late, which has come as a major challenge for the industries already reeling under power crisis, the State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid has underlined the Government has taken every possible measure to ensure energy security.
Media reports maintained this while adding the effects of the global pandemic and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war have not deterred Bangladesh from achieving the goals.
Addressing a virtual seminar recently, Nasrul stated: “Despite global crisis, we have been able to maintain an uninterrupted supply of fuel oil, gas and LPG,” even as he underlined through a press release that the current crisis in the energy sector was temporary and Bangladesh will be able to soon overcome it.
