The first ever Chinese brand GEMSY, launched in India in 1998 is a complete solution provider for the garment industry, from high speed industrial sewing machines to fusing and packing machines.“From this year, Gemsy has begun doing a lot of R&D specifically for the Indian market, and long-term investments have been made for the same purpose,” claims Victor Xu of Gemsy’s International Trade Department, representing the company at the fair. Gemsy is today among the top 50 enterprises of China because of its emphasis not only on the quality and variety of their products but also ensuring that their operations are Green and environment-friendly.
GEMSY was present in full-strength at the Bangalore edition of the GTE. The company displayed the latest electro-mechanical integration sewing machine, computerized embroidery machine, computer pattern sewing machine, and brushless energy-saving motor to compete with South Korean and Japanese brands. Embroidery machine series – GEM1201A-C, GEM1201A – CJ is a single head computerized embroidery machine meant for sewing on any type of product such as caps, sweaters, golf wear, shirts, jackets, bags, aprons and more. With its large embroidery space of 400 X 450 mm, virtually any design is possible. The machine is equipped with easy-to-use control panel, auto trimmer, high-tech colour computer, AC servo motor all specifically designed for new embroiderers. A maximum speed of 1000 RPM can be achieved with ease.
The GEM915-2J embroidery machine series, its flagship offering was also displayed at the fair. The machine is available with four optional devices – sequin device, simple cording embroidery device, chenille embroider device and flat embroidery. The new pneumatic dual axle slide adopted provides the sequin device precise coordination, zero clearance sewing, and high stability. It embroiders smoothly and of high quality because of auto-trimming system, top thread clamping imported rotating hook and Italian synchronised belt.
Another innovation of GEMSY to look out for was the mechanical and electrical integrated, direct drive, micro oil lockstitch sewing machine – GEM9250D. With a fully integrated design, the machine comes with an auto-trimmer, reverse, wiper and foot lifter function. The key on new control panel can change the switch of reverse stitch to supplementary needle key, making the machine very user-friendly. Sewing can be done on various types of fabrics such as fur, flax fabric, etc. using GEM9250D.
The brushless energy-saving motor, which most of the machines were equipped with, was another outstanding innovation to be seen at the fair. The motor comes in four variants with maximum output of 400W, 550W, 600W and 750W. The motor is very easy and cost-effective to repair in case of any breakdown. It is much more energy-efficient, faster and versatile than the basic clutch motor available in all the other machines.
