Designers this season are onto a cozy winter, immersing themselves in plush fabrics that are visually snug. Paving its way as a substitute for fur, pile weaves of various lengths, colour and textures have been included in fall collections. From Antonio Berardi interpreting them in moss coloured glitter strands to Valentino simply manifesting the carpet texture into an overall blurry coat, the trend has found a serious following. Further experimenting, designers translated these fuzzy filaments into warm cozy sweaters and lustrous extra-large outerwear. While Givenchy added colour to the fluff, Veronique Branquinho used it in stripes of pastels. Whether for a warm cardigan or robe, a printed dress or comfy coats, this trend has a lot under its spectrum.
