The Summer Collection 2025, created by students in the Department of Fashion Studies under Assistant Professor Nadia Tasnim Piya, was unveiled at the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) during its annual “Fashion Spotlight” exhibition.
Students used the show as a forum to use their imaginative designs to highlight social and environmental challenges.
The students’ inventiveness and socially conscious designs were commended by industry veterans, such as Abdus Sattar and Shahanur Rahman from Pretty Group. BUFT Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ayub Nabi Khan emphasised the university’s dedication to fostering fashion innovation.
Under the direction of Sharmili Sarker Mishu, the faculty of the Department of Fashion Studies planned the event with success, showcasing BUFT’s collaborative spirit and making an impression on everyone who attended.
