To boost the competitiveness of Bangladesh’s garment industry, BGMEA launched the ‘Khalilur Rahman Knowledge Center’ at its headquarters in Dhaka.
BGMEA President Faruque Hassan inaugurated ‘Khalilur Rahman Knowledge Center’ in the presence of Khalilur Rahman’s daughter Nasreen Subhan, son architect Nahas Ahmed Khalil and daughter-in-law Rupa Sayef.
According to a press release, the BGMEA has acknowledged the value of ongoing education and innovation in navigating the dynamic world of global market trends.
In its capacity as the premier trade association for Bangladesh’s RMG industry, BGMEA works to provide industry participants with the technical know-how, information, and abilities they need to successfully address upcoming obstacles.
Named in honor of the late Major General Khalilur Rahman (Retd), former president of BGMEA, the knowledge center is a tribute to his significant contributions that have been instrumental in developing Bangladesh’s apparel sector.
During the inauguration event, the President of BGMEA stressed the need for ongoing knowledge upgrading to support the RMG industry’s competitiveness and long-term growth.
He emphasised how important the knowledge centre will be to spreading knowledge about the business and making it more competitive overall.
The Khalilur Rahman Knowledge Centre, furnished with cutting-edge electronic equipment, will function as a centre for education and cooperation, enabling workshops, seminars, and training sessions.
Industry professionals, academics, and experts from across the world will be able to interact virtually via its digitally enabled platform, sharing knowledge and perspectives on both new and developing business challenges as well as developments in industry-related technologies.
