
ASM Mohiuddin Monem, chairman of ServicEngine Limited and additional managing director of Abdul Monem Limited, has received the Commercially Important Person (CIP) Award for a record 11 consecutive times from the Bangladesh Government.
According to a news release, the prize was given out by state minister for trade affairs Ahsanul Islam Titu on Thursday during the CIP Award Handover Ceremony at the Hotel Radisson Blu in the nation’s capital.
The CIP Award recognises outstanding performance and contributions to the nation’s industrial sector, particularly with relation to exports and trade. It is renowned for its strict selection procedure and due investigation.
The statement stated that ASM Mohiuddin Monem’s continuous receipt of the CIP Award is evidence of his commitment to fostering job possibilities, enhancing export performance, and advancing Bangladesh towards the more promising future of Smart Bangladesh.
Under his leadership, ServicEngine Limited has emerged as a global leader in the outsourcing industry, securing its position among the top 100 global outsourcing companies by IAOP for an impressive tenth consecutive year.
Several state honours and the Ministry of Industries’ prestigious “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Award” are only two of his outstanding accomplishments.
Monem has been named the top taxpayer for ten years running and has received ten national export medals for his devotion to the IT industry. Monem holds the distinguished position of Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Bangladesh. He is the youngest son of the renowned late Abdul Monem.
A total of 184 businesspeople in Bangladesh have been awarded the status of CIP in recognition of their contributions to the country’s export and trade activities in 2022. Of the winners, 140 received CIP status for notching significant exports in 18 of the 22 export sectors while the remaining 44 were recognised for their contributions as leaders of local trade bodies.
