The two-day 15th Bangladesh Denim Expo kicked off at the International Convention City, Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka on Wednesday.
Organised by the Bangladesh Apparel Exchange, the two-day event will feature the participation of 80 exhibitors from 12 countries.
Industry insiders and apparel manufacturers, partaking in the expo, expressed optimism about Bangladesh’s significant potential to enhance its denim exports on the global stage.
They attributed this potential to the country’s commendable strides in workplace safety and sustainability in recent years.
At the exposition’s inauguration, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, serving as the chief guest, highlighted the pivotal role played by the Bangladesh Denim Expo in propelling the nation to become the world’s largest denim exporter.
Chairman of the Bangladesh Apparel Exchange, Mostafiz Uddin, underscored the vast potential of the Bangladesh denim industry.
He emphasised the organisation’s ongoing efforts to unlock the untapped potential within the industry, pointing towards a promising future for Bangladesh’s role in the global denim market.
