Peter Haas, the US Ambassador to Bangladesh has recently called upon the President of the apex garment makers’ body – the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Faruque Hassan in the capital Dhaka.
This is as per reports, which underlined the US envoy was accompanied by Arturo Hines, Deputy Political Economic Counselor, Megan Francic, USDA/FAS, Agricultural Attaché‚ Leena Khan, Labor Attaché‚ Department of Labor, Saifuzzaman Mehrab, Political and Economic Section, Labor Assistant, Kaitlyn Denzler, USAID/DRG Labor Team Lead and Emelda Mullick, USAID/DRG, Labor Team, during his meeting with the BGMEA chair.
Meanwhile, accompanying the BGMEA President in the meeting were BGMEA Senior Vice President S.M. Mannan (Kochi), Vice President Shahidullah Azim, Vice President (Finance) Khandoker Rafiqul Islam, BGMEA First Vice President Syed Nazrul Islam, Directors Abdullah Hil Rakib, Navidul Huq, Rajiv Chowdhury, Barrister Vidiya Amrit Khan, Md. Imranur Rahman, Mijanur Rahman, Neela Hosna Ara and Vice President Md. Nasir Uddin and Vice President Rakibul Alam Chowdhury.
