Dongwoo BD Limited, a South Korean entity is all set to establish a shoe accessories manufacturing unit at the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) Economic Zone (EZ) at an investment of US $ 8.62 million.
This is as per media reports, which maintained BEPZA has recently signed an agreement with Dongwoo BD to this effect at BEPZA Complex in Dhaka, in which was present the Executive Chairman of BEPZA Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, Ali Reza Mazid, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Kim Dong Kyu, Chairman of Dongwoo BD Ltd.
This fully foreign-owned company will create employment opportunities for around 513 Bangladeshi nationals while also producing 3.6 million metres of all kinds of PU Synthetic Leather annually.
Present in the signing ceremony amongst others were Executive Director (Enterprise Services) Md. Khorshid Alam, Member (Engineering) Mohammad Faruque Alam, Executive Director (Public Relations) Nazma Binte Alamgir and Executive Director (Investment Promotion) Md. Tanvir Hossain.
