
BGMEA President Faruque Hassan has emphasized the pivotal role of the BGMEA Complex in Uttara as a landmark, underscoring BGMEA’s crucial contribution to the growth of the readymade garment industry—a cornerstone of Bangladesh’s economy.
During a courtesy meeting with Md. Anisur Rahman Miah, Chairman of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) recently, Faruque Hassan highlighted BGMEA’s essential services to export-oriented garment factories, including the issuance of the Utilisation Declaration (UD), a vital aspect for the industry.
Present at the meeting were Md. Siddiqur Rahman, former President of BGMEA, and S.M. Mannan (Kochi), Senior Vice President of BGMEA. RAJUK representatives included Mohammed Nurul Islam, Member (Estate and Land); Major (Engr) Shamsuddin Ahmed Chowdhury (Retd), Member (Development); Md. Nasir Uddin, Member (Planning); ASM Raihanul Ferdous, Chief Engineer; and Tajina Sarowar, Director (Zone 3).
Discussions revolved around various issues, with a specific focus on improving road connectivity to the BGMEA Complex in Uttara, Dhaka, as outlined in a media release issued in this regard.
Faruque Hassan expressed gratitude to RAJUK for their efforts in constructing and repairing roads, particularly emphasizing the importance of the road connecting Sector 12 of Uttara to the BGMEA Complex.
