AHM Mustafa Kamal, the Finance Minister of Bangladesh, is expected to present before the Parliament the National Budget for fiscal year 2023-24 on 1st June.
Reports claimed this citing a document published by the Finance Division as a part of the preparation for the next national budget, recently.
It may be mentioned here, the National Budget will be presented earlier this year than the previous occasions on account of the Eid-ul-Azha festival even as the Government intends to complete all proceedings related to the budget as well as the passing and approval of it by the Parliament, before the starting of the Eid-ul-Azha vacation.
It may be mentioned here the 2022 National Budget was presented by the Minister of Finance on 9th June 2022, which was incidentally the 14th presented by the Awami League-led Grand Alliance of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina since returning to office in 2009.
