For the forthcoming term of 2025–2027, Mohammad Hatem has been chosen president of the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA). An executive vice president will be appointed, Fazle Shamim Ehsan.
At BKMEA’s headquarters in Narayanganj, the election for the 2025–2027 term’s office bearers of the Board of Directors was held on Thursday. Nine nominations were received for nine open posts, including President, Executive President, Senior Vice President, Vice President (Finance), and five Vice Presidents, in accordance with the Election Board’s pre-announced schedule.
All of the candidates were elected without opposition, according to the final list of candidates that was released after the Election Board’s review. Md. Samsuzzaman, Ashiqur Rahman, Fakir Kamruzzaman Nahid, Mohammad Rashed, and Gowher Siraj Jamil from Chittagong were elected to the five vice presidential positions.
The election marked a smooth process with all positions filled without contest, promising continued leadership for BKMEA in the coming years.
