Dr. Rubana Huq, the immediate past and first ever President of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), has stepped down from the Board of Directors of the garment makers’ body.
Media reports maintained this citing Dr. Rubana.
Recently, speaking to a daily newspaper, the ex-chair of BGMEA, reportedly, confirmed she had stepped down from the Board of Directors while adding she wrote in this direction to the organisation after becoming the Vice Chancellor of Asian University for Women in February.
Following her stepping down, Chairperson of Crony Fashions Ltd., Neela Hosna Ara, reportedly, took her place as the member of the Board of Directors.
