A high-ranking delegation from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT TEX) visited the BGMEA Complex in Dhaka to engage with Anwar Hossain, the Administrator of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).
The delegation, led by Vice President Zhang Tao and Deputy Director Wu Zhizhen (Jason), provided a platform for discussing the textile sectors in both Bangladesh and China. During the meeting, BGMEA outlined its ambitions to attract more investment into Bangladesh’s thriving Ready-Made Garment (RMG) industry.
A significant topic of discussion was the potential collaboration on AP-TEXPO 2024, an innovative new initiative set to take place in Singapore aimed at enhancing integration within the Asia-Pacific textile supply chain.
Both parties expressed a strong commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and promoting regional cooperation in the textile sector, highlighting the promising opportunities for growth and development within the industry.
