The Bangladesh Government has released a sum of Taka 2,100 crore for payment of cash incentives to local exporters, including the garment makers on their export earnings.
Media reports maintained this adding it is the additional fund of final instalment (fourth instalment) of cash incentives, for April-June period of the current fiscal year 2021-2022 even if the Government earlier released Taka 2,300 crore for the payment of cash incentives of the instalment.
Reports further added a special 1 per cent cash incentive support fund for the RMG industry has also been included in the instalment while underlining export oriented sectors, including apparels and jute and jute products.
