A.P. Møller – Mærsk A/S, also known simply as Maersk, the globally renowned Danish integrated transport and logistics company, is building a massive 210,000 square feet warehouse in the port city of Chittagong.
According to a press communiqué issued by Maersk in this regard, the tailor-made warehouse that would suit the needs of exporters of retail and lifestyle commodities and should be available by April 2024 is being built by the company to expand its capacities.
Meanwhile, the Managing Director of Maersk South Asia, Vikash Agarwal underlined Maersk continues to invest and strengthen its commitment to Bangladesh with the expansion of its footprint in the country and went on to add, “We strongly believe in the potential of Bangladesh and its exporters, and are fully committed to participating and playing a role in their respective growth stories.”
It may be mentioned here Bangladesh is witnessing a slowdown in exports lately due to a host of reasons but the trend is expected to turnaround soon.
