One of the leading textile and apparel manufacturing companies, Silver Line Group, has supported the flood-affected people by contributing clothing as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The SLG CSR team received the donation. SLG has decided to assist the numerous people who have lost their homes, jobs, and clothing due to the terrible floods that have affected several parts of the nation.
Another apparel group, Bitopi Group has pledged to aid in Government relief efforts in response to the terrible floods that have devastated portions of Bangladesh this year. The Chief Adviser’s Relief and Welfare Fund has received a big donation from the company in the amount of Tk41.12 lakh. This donation is made up of donations from the company’s own finances and one day’s wage from all workers, officers, and employees.
At a ceremony held at the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief on 29th August, Bitopi Group Managing Director Miran Ali and Director Sara Ali delivered the contribution cheque to Disaster Management and Relief Adviser Farooq E Azam.
ABM Sirajul Islam Azad, head of human resource department, and Morshedul Haque, CFO also represented Bitopi Group at the event.
Miran Ali reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting the government during national crises, stating: “Bitopi Group will continue to stand by our nation in times of need.”
