Epic Group has successfully implemented a 1.3 megawatt-peak (MWp) rooftop solar power system at its facility in the Adamjee Export Processing Zone (EPZ), marking a significant step towards reducing its carbon footprint. The project was executed by Solaric Group, a prominent renewable energy company in Bangladesh, and is designed to deliver clean, sustainable energy to the multinational textile and apparel manufacturer.
The solar panels, installed across unused rooftop spaces, are expected to make a considerable impact by lowering the company’s reliance on traditional grid electricity and cutting down energy expenses. This initiative reinforces Epic Group’s long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship and innovation across its global operations spanning Asia and Africa.
Solaric Group, which has been active in Bangladesh’s green energy sector since 2009, managed the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) aspects of the project. Known for delivering customized solar solutions for industrial clients, Solaric has earned recognition for notable achievements, including the development of the world’s largest rooftop solar plant at the Korean EPZ.
This collaboration highlights the growing role of rooftop solar in promoting sustainability within industrial zones. By leveraging renewable technology, Epic Group demonstrates how clean energy can enhance operational efficiency while supporting broader climate goals.
