The Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) has entered into an agreement with EPL (Export Link) Accessories Limited to set up a new accessories manufacturing factory within the BEPZA Economic Zone. The investment, amounting to US $ 8 million, is expected to generate 610 job opportunities for Bangladeshi citizens, according to a BEPZA press release issued on Wednesday.
The agreement was signed in a ceremony attended by BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, BEPZA Member (Investment Development) Md. Ashraful Kabir, and EPL Managing Director Kazi Monowar Hossain.
EPL Accessories Limited plans to produce a range of products, including foam, carton, poly and gum tape, and will also offer foam and fabric lamination, screen printing, and embroidery services.
During the signing event, BEPZA’s Executive Chairman thanked EPL Accessories Limited for their investment decision and assured the company of full support to ensure smooth business operations in the economic zone.
