
Solaric Group, a leading renewable energy provider, showcased its groundbreaking ‘World’s Largest Rooftop Solar’ installation at Bangladesh’s inaugural Renewable Energy Fest 2025. The two-day event, held at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), was organised by ActionAid Bangladesh, BUET, and the Just Energy Transition Network Bangladesh (JETnet-BD), aiming to promote a just and sustainable energy transition through policy reforms, technological innovation, and youth engagement.
Solaric’s booth attracted considerable attention, highlighting the company’s advancements in solar solutions. The event also featured presentations from local innovators and corporations, alongside a vibrant ‘Youth Hub’ fostering discussions among young participants on renewable energy futures.
Renewable Energy Fest 2025 represents a significant milestone in Bangladesh’s efforts to embrace sustainable energy, emphasising policy dialogue, technological innovation, and inclusive participation of marginalised communities, youth, women, and civil society.
Reflecting this spirit, Solaric Group’s journey underscores its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and expanding access to renewable energy. Founded in 2009 by scientist Didar Islam, Solaric has established itself as a leader in solar solutions, with headquarters in Singapore and subsidiaries in Bangladesh and California. Notable projects include a 60MW rooftop solar installation at the Korean Export Processing Zone (KEPZ). The company has set an ambitious goal to reach 300MW of solar capacity by 2026, positioning itself at the forefront of Bangladesh’s renewable energy sector.
