The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has clinched the prestigious Best Sourcing Corner Award at the 29th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) 2025. This accolade not only underscores BGMEA’s commitment to showcasing the vibrancy of Bangladesh’s garment industry but also highlights the tangible benefits of their innovative booth design.
Presented by Commerce Adviser Sheikh Bashir Uddin during the event’s closing ceremony, the award was accepted by Support Committee Member Inamul Haq Khan (Bablu), alongside BGMEA Administrator Anwar Hossain. This recognition marks a significant achievement for BGMEA, especially in light of the newly introduced sourcing zone by the Export Promotion Bureau at this year’s fair.
The specially designed sourcing zone provided BGMEA with a unique platform to exhibit the success stories, capabilities, and sustainability initiatives of Bangladesh’s garment sector. The booth effectively showcased the country’s strengths in producing high-value, world-class garments, while also emphasizing its commitment to eco-friendly practices. This strategic presentation has not only enhanced Bangladesh’s image as a responsible apparel hub but has also attracted the attention of international buyers and stakeholders.
The successful participation at DITF 2025 has opened new avenues for commercial connections, allowing BGMEA to foster relationships with potential buyers and partners from around the globe. This engagement is expected to bolster the country’s position in the competitive global apparel market and further promote Bangladesh as a leading destination for sustainable garment sourcing.
