Amid urgent global problems including climate change and economic uncertainty, Archroma has launched its Planet Conscious+ program, focussing on innovation, transparency, and sustainability in the garment and textile industries.
The initiative’s significance was emphasised by Group CEO Mark Garrett, who said, “Now is the time to realign our vision to navigate the next phase of our growth.” “Planet Conscious+” stands for our obligation and promise as a business that has a daily influence on lives all over the planet.
There are six main components to the program, four of which were unveiled earlier this year. Every dimension expands upon Archroma’s well-established knowledge base, offering mills and brands creative answers to challenging sustainability problems.
Super System+, Safe Edge+, One Way+, and Colour Management+ are some of Planet Conscious+’s key dimensions. Two additional aspects, Innovation+ and Communication+, have been added to the list of established pillars. Through the efforts of Archroma’s committed global research and development teams, Innovation+ aims to expedite the shift to a circular economy by creating cleaner chemistries and more durable impacts.
By providing stakeholders with fact-based information, Communication+ seeks to enhance transparency throughout the supply chain and empower brands to proudly showcase their sustainable accomplishments.
Paul Cowell, Vice President of Innovation, Marketing, Brand Engagement, and Sustainability at Archroma, highlighted that the goal of the program is to bring about a major shift on a broad scale. “Planet Conscious+’s launch bolsters our dedication to innovation and teamwork while sharpening our focus on customers and the environment,” Cowell said.
Through this effort, Archroma hopes to encourage innovation and provide resources for assessing and conveying environmental impact, paving the path for a more sustainable future within the textile sector.
