Garment manufacturers in Bangladesh have always contributed significantly towards the country’s economic development. And now when the country is fighting tooth and nail to combat further spreading of the dreaded COVID-19, garment makers of the country are not failing to play their part in supporting the Government in this novel cause.
To help protect the frontline service providers, Youngone Corporation has decided to donate PPEs and face masks for the doctors, paramedics and Government officials who are working tirelessly to restrict the virus from spreading further.
As per a statement issued by Youngone, the Chairman and Chief Executive of the company, Kihak Sung, has come forward to manufacture and donate Standard PPEs on an emergency basis to the Government.
The company will reportedly donate around 25,000 PPEs, 25,000 basic face shields and 25,000 surgical masks, all manufactured at its Dhaka Export Processing Zone-based unit, Youngone Hi-Tech Sportswear Ind Ltd., as per reports.
What’s more, the company has reportedly also developed and produced the fabric in-house at its textile unit for the PPEs and the masks.
