Bangladesh industrial output falls as apparel and textile industries see sharp declines
The BBS industrial production index, a key barometer of economic activity, shows that seven of 23 major subsectors contracted in September, while the remaining 16 posted growth. The readymade clothing industry, which accounts for 61% of the index, had a 5.6% year-over-year decline.
