Keeping up with its mission to provide productive automated technologies Dürkopp Adler has come up with highly automated and innovative machines which are planned to be displayed in the IMB’2009, Cologne, Germany on as big a booth as in IMB 2006.
“We are planning to exhibit 75 machines out of which 50 alone will be meant for garment manufacturing and the rest will be for production of home and car upholstery as well as technical textiles. Not less than 40 novelties will be presented to the visitors in Cologne for the first time”, explains Alfred Wadle, spokesperson, Dürkopp Adler.
The newly developed special chainstitch class 175 and 176 will be prime focus of the show as they ease the processing of difficult-to-feed materials for outerwear. Besides being tension-free and flexible, these machines have a new thread trimming system and an energy-saving integrated direct sewing-drive. The new thread trimming system ensures a safe thread trimming and a safe sewing start. The class 175 and 176 of sewing machines produce extremely flat and tension-free seams even in difficult to sew materials. It also ensures constant or partial fullness in the upper fabric ply (in class 175) and in lower ply (in class 176) and has an upper feed stroke of up to maximum 8 mm (in class 175) and 6 mm (in class 176).
Both these machines produce stitch type 401. Class 175 machines have differential top feed, while Class 176 have differential bottom feed mechanism.
These features make class 175 machines ideal for stitching centre back seams, side- and shoulder seams in men’s and ladies garments as well as for dividing seams. On the other hand, Class 176 can be used for Taping operations (attaching reinforcing tapes), Closing seams in elastic fabrics, Dividing seams in skirts with ruffling effects, Side- and inseams in difficult to feed materials and attaching waist bands also with ruffling at the lower fabric.
