Bangladesh-based Zurhem offers a comprehensive range of products across multiple categories, from bespoke to ready-to-wear menswear, including suits, jackets, trousers, polo necks, T-shirts, bandhgalas and sherwanis to womenswear, which encompasses evening gowns, cocktail dresses, ready-to-wear workwear and partywear, making it a one-stop solution for today’s discerning customers.
Founded in 2015 with a small office and just two employees, Zurhem initially experimented with trims and silhouettes to test the market and refine its design direction. By 2016, the brand had gained confidence in its craft and a clear understanding of the market’s needs. This led to the opening of its first atelier, marking a pivotal moment in the brand’s growth, with no looking back since.
Fast forward to 2025 – Zurhem made an astounding debut at Paris Fashion Week, unveiling its Fall/Winter 2025 collection titled ‘Solaris’, at the historic Chapelle Sainte-Jeanne-d’Arc. Organised by The House of Vendome, the showcase marked a significant milestone for the brand.
Comprising 15 menswear and 5 womenswear pieces, Solaris draws inspiration from the Sun’s celestial journey. The collection’s design featured intricate solar motifs and bold silhouettes, with a colour palette reflecting the phases of the day. Starting with serene whites and pearl accents to symbolise dawn, the collection transitioned to radiant gold, symbolising the ‘golden hour’, before introducing deep green, reminiscent of Earth’s landscapes from space. The finale, in rich black with dark beadwork, embodied the mystery of the night sky.
Zurhem’s menswear showcased structured tailoring, with meticulously crafted suit jackets, tuxedos, overcoats and parkas with classic silhouettes being reinterpreted with a modern edge, including cropped jackets and bandhgalas tailored for a European audience. Womenswear featured five striking couture gowns with sculptural silhouettes, dramatic trains and celestial embellishments.
A hallmark of the collection was its use of circular embellishments, symbolising celestial bodies like the sun, moon and planets. Zurhem’s debut in Paris is a pivotal moment for the brand and Bangladeshi fashion, solidifying its place on the global stage.

For womenswear, our sculpted evening gowns and statement separates have gained traction. Consumers are drawn to intricate detailing, bold silhouettes and a balance between modernity and classic elegance. The use of hand embellished textures and luxurious fabrics has made these pieces stand out, ensuring their demand.
Both categories benefit from an increased desire for exclusivity and well-crafted, statement-making fashion in the Bangladeshi market.
AR: What strategies does Zurhem employ to make fashion more affordable for a broader audience at an accessible price point without compromising on quality?
MM: At Zurhem, we focus on strategic material sourcing, optimised production methods and direct-to-consumer engagement to maintain affordability while ensuring quality. We work closely with local artisans and fabric suppliers to source premium materials at competitive prices.
All our designs are created with a modular approach, ensuring versatility so that consumers get more value from their investment. By maintaining an in-house atelier, we control quality at every step, reducing unnecessary markups. We also introduce capsule collections that are more accessible in pricing while still holding to Zurhem’s craftsmanship and design ethos.
Rather than chasing mass production, we prioritise curated offerings at different price tiers, making high-end fashion attainable for a wider audience.
AR: What, according to you, is driving consumption in women’s and men’s fashion categories in the Bangladesh market?
MM: In both categories, there is a shift toward conscious consumption and investment in statement pieces rather than excessive buying.
For menswear, the influence of international dressing standards—like the sharp tailoring we presented in Paris—is driving demand for structured, well-fitted garments that exude quiet confidence.
For womenswear, there’s an increasing demand for power dressing and dramatic silhouettes, mirroring what we saw on the international stage. Customers are no longer just looking for eventwear; they want iconic, investment-worthy pieces that set them apart.
Additionally, social media has played a massive role in shaping purchasing behaviour, with customers becoming more educated about design, fit and fabric quality.
AR: What are the emerging consumer preferences or trends that you think will impact purchasing decisions for womenswear and menswear in Fall/Winter 2025?
MM: In the womenswear segment, versatile eveningwear that includes convertible or adaptable pieces that can be styled in multiple ways are to be noted. Textured fabrics and embellishments such as beaded details, 3D embroidery and layered fabrics will gain popularity, while structured power dressing with strong, sculptural silhouettes that blend femininity with strength will perform well.
For menswear, tailored casualwear that features relaxed but well-structured pieces that work for both day and night, layered looks encompassing overshirts, sleeveless vests and structured knitwear will be key. Understated luxury points propel the shift toward quiet luxury with high-quality, well-fitted essentials featuring minimal branding.
AR: What are the emerging product categories or silhouettes that you anticipate gaining traction in the upcoming Fall/Winter 2025 season?
MM: Womenswear will see sculpted outerwear with statement coats with exaggerated shoulders and unique cuts gaining momentum, alongside cinched waist tailoring. Fitted blazers and structured dresses emphasising strong yet fluid shapes will perform well.
Customers are also looking toward glamorous separates – think draped skirts, modern corsets and elegant co-ords. The menswear segment looks towards double-breasted and oversized blazers as a continuation of strong tailoring but with a relaxed elegance. High-waisted trousers and pleats emerge as a nod to vintage sophistication with modern styling, whilst textured knitwear is paired with sharp outerwear.
AR: What are the optimal price points for pieces that Zurhem is operating on in the Fall/Winter 2025 season? Are there specific price points that you believe will perform well in the upcoming season? Why?
MM: Zurhem will continue operating within a premium price range, with key pieces positioned strategically:
- Tailored menswear (suits, tuxedos): US $ 800 – US $ 2,000
- Eveningwear (gowns, statement womenswear): US $ 1,200 – US $ 3,500
- Outerwear: US $ 600 – US $ 2,000
For Fall/Winter 2025, investment pieces in US $ 800- US $ 2,000 range will see strong performance. Customers are increasingly drawn toward versatile, well-crafted garments rather than trend-driven impulse buys, making this pricing tier ideal for high-quality wardrobe staples.
For menswear, our structured tuxedos and tailored outerwear have been top sellers. Men are increasingly investing in pieces that transition effortlessly from formal events to eveningwear, making these staples highly sought-after. |
AR: In terms of consumer demand, what are the particular styles, colour palettes or design elements in women’s and men’s fashion that you anticipate being in high demand for the upcoming season?
MM: With regard to menswear, the styles that will stand out include relaxed but refined tailoring, contemporary layering pieces and high-waisted trousers; while womenswear will see sculptural silhouettes, form-fitting gowns, sophisticated separates make an impact.
The colour palettes that are expected to perform well for men include earthy neutrals such as camel, deep olive, taupe, rich burgundy and midnight blue; while the womenswear segment includes deep jewel tones such as emerald, sapphire, oxblood, muted metallics and soft pastels to inject contrast.
In terms of design elements, menswear will focus on subtle embroidery, contrast textures (leather detailing, quilted accents and structured shoulders) while womenswear will see draping, hand-embroidered embellishments and unique fabric manipulation take centre stage.
AR: Which materials do you recommend investing in for F/W ’25 season?
MM: Look towards incorporating wool blends and cashmere for structured outerwear and elegant layering pieces; velvet and jacquard for luxe textures with an opulent feel for eveningwear. Metallic-infused fabrics are a must-have for elevated glamour.
In addition, sustainable leather and vegan alternatives point towards a growing preference for ethical yet luxurious materials.
AR: Mention must-have products or wardrobe essentials to include in one’s assortment for F/W ’25.
MM: For menswear, key pieces include a tailored double-breasted blazer, high-waisted structured trousers and a statement overcoat with a unique silhouette. Textured knitwear is also essential, along with accessories such as small crossbody bags, belts, leather gloves and leather boots.
For womenswear, must-haves feature a sculpted power blazer, a dramatic evening gown with bold details and a cinched-waist coat. Statement accessories like bold belts, gloves and structured handbags complete the look.
AR: What is your take on the consumer’s shift in perception from quantity to quality?
MM: It’s one of the most defining shifts in fashion today. Consumers are moving away from fast, disposable fashion and gravitating toward fewer, better-quality pieces. They want their purchases to feel special—whether it’s because of craftsmanship, exclusivity or brand ethos.
This shift aligns with Zurhem’s philosophy—we have never been about mass production. Our clients understand that owning one exquisite piece outweighs having ten average ones.
