To celebrate the 5th Cotton Day-Bangladesh, the Cotton USA on Monday held a virtual seminar in capital Dhaka.
More than a thousand participants, including officials of international brands and retailers, cotton merchants and traders including agents, spinning and textile mill owners, garment manufacturers and executives attended the seminar to celebrate the 5th Cotton Day- Bangladesh.
Addressing the event, President of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association, Mohammed Ali Khokon underlined that USA is a big market for ‘Made in Bangladesh’ apparel items while adding that if duty relaxation is given to those who use cotton from USA, Bangladesh’s apparel business in USA could grow further.
Director of Eurasia Group, Willis Sparks; Executive Director of Cotton Council International, Bruce Atherley; former Chief Executive Officer of Wal-Mart, Michael Duke; President and Chief Executive Officer of National Cotton Council of America, Dr. Gary Adams; Chairman of Cotton Council International and Chief Executive Officer of Staplcotn, Hank Reichle and President of Cotton Council International, Ricky Clarke, reportedly, gave presentations in the event.
