Ningbo Cixing Co Ltd, a global leader in knitting machinery and technology, hosted the ‘Cixing Bangladesh Night Products Promotion Meeting’ at a hotel in the capital. The event brought together over 300 key industry stakeholders, including owners and executives from influential sweater production companies in Bangladesh.
The gathering also saw the participation of BGMEA Fashion Technology University (BUFT), a prominent fashion institution in Bangladesh, which was present to collaborate on supplying high-end talent for the knitting sector.
A highlight of the event was Cixing’s signing of several cooperation agreements with renowned local companies, such as BSKL, Knit Asia, Bettex, NEXUS, TWELVETEX, and SWEATERTECH, setting the stage for a strengthened partnership.
Frank Sun, chairman of Ningbo Cixing Group, emphasised the company’s commitment to promoting innovation within the knitting industry. “As the top supplier of digital knitting factory solutions and intelligent knitting equipment in the world, we place a high priority on research and development, spending an average of more than $12 million a year to guarantee steady growth. Nearly 30,000 units of our technology and goods were sold in 2023, reaching consumers all over the world. With almost 300,000 devices operating globally, we predict that sales will reach 40,000 units in 2024, giving us a nearly 30% global market share,” Sun stated.
He further highlighted Bangladesh’s significance as a major manufacturing hub in the global clothing industry, noting, “We are confident that by working together, we can bring about significant transformations in Bangladesh’s textile industry, boost competitiveness, generate employment, and support the nation’s economic expansion.”
