
Bangladesh and the Philippines are exploring opportunities for collaboration in multiple sectors, including energy, textiles, and nursing, Philippine Ambassador to Bangladesh Nina P. Cainglet said.
The remarks came during a country lecture titled Beyond Bilateral Ties: Unlocking New Avenues in Bangladesh-Philippine Cooperation, organised by the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) on 31st August.
Ambassador Cainglet highlighted the potential for enhanced cooperation in areas such as shared values, development priorities, energy, agriculture, and education. She also emphasised exchanging experiences in maritime cooperation, a field of growing interest for Bangladesh.
The ambassador noted opportunities for collaboration in maritime shipping, renewable fuels, fuel security, climate change, and flood management. She added that stronger bilateral engagement would support regional peace, prosperity, and sustainable development.
