The denim apparel import of USA has touched US $ 375.83 million in November ’21, as per the latest data released by OTEXA.
Growing by over 42.71 per cent in the 11th month of 2021, the denim clothing segment has brought cheers to the exporting fraternity, especially the top four countries in the denim tally – Bangladesh, Mexico, Pakistan and Vietnam.
The data, further analysed by Apparel Resources, suggests that Bangladesh shipped US $ 83.93 million worth of denim apparel exports to USA during Nov. ’21 and contributed about 22.47 per cent in total US import values.
Mexico’s denim clothing shipment valued US $ 65.95 million and grew by 30 per cent on Y-o-Y basis, while Pakistan stayed ahead of both Vietnam and China to clock US $ 46 million export revenues from denim apparel shipment to USA, noting a whopping growth of 109.61 per cent.
China’s growth remained miniscule (6.54 per cent) in November ’21 on Y-o-Y basis and the export value hovered around US $ 30 million. Vietnam was able to manage growth in double-digit (26.30 per cent) and export of denim apparels touched US $ 41.69 million.
It’s worth noting here that, in Jan,-Nov. ’21, USA’s denim apparel imports valued US $ 3.33 billion and increased by 29.57 per cent.
