
Thanks to the ‘new normal’ situation that has emerged as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, the apex garment makers’ body of Bangladesh has stressed on the need for sustainable buyers-suppliers relationship and trading system to perform well in the existing scenario.
As per media reports, BGMEA President Faruque Hassan underlined the same recently even as he maintained the COVID-19 pandemic has created opportunities like online-based sales and expansion of virtual marketplace while adding it was time, Bangladesh invested in the backward linkage so as to develop its capability and increase capacity.
The President of the trade body, reportedly, maintained the same at a recent event, in which, leading economists and business executives of the region took part.
At the said event, Faruque Hassan, further, reportedly, emphasised on re-skilling and up-skilling the workforce keeping in mind the 4th Industrial Revolution so that they could cope up with the technological changes due to the same.
