Danish clothing company Bestseller and Bestseller Foundation, which is the charitable arm of the company, together will donate around Taka 44.78 million to Bangladesh to help the country fight the pandemic even as the donation will be shared amongst four local organisations — the organisations are JAAGO Foundation, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), UCEP Bangladesh and Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services — which are working to limit the effects of the pandemic in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh is one of the countries that’s been hit very hard by the pandemic, reportedly, maintained Michael W. Schultze, the Global Supply Chain Director of Bestseller in a statement even if the clothing company has underlined that with around one-third of Bestsellers’ products being produced in Bangladesh, the country plays a vital role in its supply chain.
The four organisations in Bangladesh, which are set to receive the donation from Bestseller, work to create a better life for the people of the country including those who work in Bangladesh’s RMG sector, underlined the company in a statement issued in this direction.
