BKMEA election date announced: Reports

As per the schedule announced by the election board of the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA), the biennial election of the garment makers’ body for 2021-23 term, will be held on 12 November.

According to reports, the election board — on 14 August, the current board of BKMEA led by its President AKM Salim Osman at its 10th board meeting formed election board and election appeal board ahead of the next biennial election — recently announced the election schedule while adding that the election for electing 27 directors of the garment makers’ body will be held at the sixth floor of Narayanganj-based Samabaya Bank building, which is opposite to BKMEA’s head office at Narayanganj.

Further, the election board has set 13 September as the last date to be listed as voter for the said election.
