
Bangladesh’s Ready-Made Garment (RMG) sector saw exports worth US $ 2.79 billion in June 2025, reflecting a 6.31% decline compared to the same month last year, according to the latest data from the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).
In detail, knitwear exports totalled US $ 1.54 billion, experiencing a 4.04% decrease, while woven garments contributed US $ 1.25 billion, marking an 8.96% drop from June 2024. Despite this monthly dip, the sector’s performance for the entire fiscal year remains strong.
For the fiscal year 2024-25 (July–June), Bangladesh’s RMG exports totalled US $ 39.35 billion, representing 8.84% increase over the previous year. Breakdown figures show knitwear exports reaching US $ 21.16 billion with a 9.73% growth and woven garments amounting to US $ 18.19 billion, growth being up by 7.82%.
