Algerian entrepreneurs are expressing a strong interest in investing in Bangladesh as part of their efforts to bolster economic ties between the two nations. Adelouahab Saidani, the ambassador of Algeria to Bangladesh, stated this while meeting with Sk Bashir Uddin, the commerce adviser, at the secretariat office in Dhaka.
Ambassador Saidani emphasised the promising opportunities for Bangladeshi products, especially in the garment sector, within the Algerian market. He remarked by stating that Algeria is a substantial market for a variety of Bangladeshi goods and what is essential is for Bangladesh to capitalise on these prospects that are available. He also noted that Algerian entrepreneurs are keen to investigate potential investment avenues in Bangladesh.
In response, Commerce Adviser Bashir Uddin acknowledged the long-standing relationship between Bangladesh and Algeria, noting that cultural and religious ties have strengthened the bond between the two countries.
The discussions reflect a growing interest in collaborative economic ventures and the potential for increased trade between the North African nation and Bangladesh.
