The highly anticipated BGMEA Cup 2023 kicked off at the Uttara Sector 4 Kallyan Samiti Field in Dhaka, with Faruque Hassan, President of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), inaugurating the 8th edition of this inter-garment tournament recently.
Organised by the BGMEA, the tournament serves as a platform for showcasing sporting spirit and camaraderie among the middle and top-management teams from 16 leading garment factories in Bangladesh.
Participating teams include Comfit Composite, TRZ Group, Shrabony Knitwear, Tusuka Group, Setara Group, Hossain Group, Mosharraf Apparels, Sayem Fashions, Fakir Fashion, Asian Apparels, Apparels Village, Aspire Garments, Kims Corporation, Evince Group, Laila Group, and Bando Design.
These esteemed apparel companies will compete for the coveted BGMEA Cup 2023 title, as stated in a media release.
The opening match featured defending champion Bando Design Ltd in a thrilling showdown against Asian Apparels.
With the 16 teams divided into four groups, the tournament will progress through the group stage matches at the Uttara Sector 4 Kallyan Samiti Field, culminating in the grand finale scheduled to take place at the prestigious Army Stadium on a later date.
