Keeping in line with the Government’s digitisation plans, the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) under the Ministry of Labour and Employment is going to introduce an online licensing system to facilitate online license renewal by factories along with other commercial establishments, shops, etc.
Media reports maintained this adding by logging on to the Labour Inspection Management Application (LIMA) website, the owners and authorities of manufacturing units and commercial establishments would be able to renew and obtain new licences easily from the DIFE following procedures that are prescribed in the labour laws and regulations.
Meanwhile, in order to make LIMA more accessible, Inspector General of the DIFE, Joint Inspector Generals, Deputy Inspector Generals and relevant senior officials held a two-day workshop recently.
