Sri Lanka’s leading apparel exporter Brandix has formed a joint venture with the Hong Kong-based synthetic materials manufacturer Best Pacific.
The JV envisions construction of a manufacturing facility in Pannala (Kurunegala District) which will be dedicated to producing warp synthetic fabric and webbing within Sri Lanka.
“This joint venture will propel Brandix towards delivering the most innovative and inspiring products to the consumer,” underlines Ashroff Omar, CEO, Brandix.
Additionally, Brandix seeks to unlock growth opportunities in the fast-evolving sportswear and athleisure domains.
The Best Pacific Group is said to be a perfect partner for the apparel manufacturing giant due to its upper hand in manufacturing elastic webbing and lace for sportswear and lingerie products.
The Group has already established a long-term collaboration with customers of leading global brands such as Marks & Spencer, Spanx, Triumph and Victoria’s Secret to name a few.
Brandix aims to capitalise on Best Pacific’s stronghold in innovation, product development and collaboration capabilities to strengthen its roots in the athleisure segment.
