The DNCRP or the Directorate of National Consumers Right Protection, which is a quasi-judicial Government department in Bangladesh and is responsible for hearing and addressing consumer complaints — has reportedly maintained it would close the outlets of fashion brands for a temporary period if it finds any price gun machines during its drives
The DNCRP reportedly came up with the observations in a view exchange meeting with the representatives of fashion outlets at the directorate’s office in the capital Dhaka even as the Director of the DNCRP, Monjur Mohammad Shahriar, on his part reportedly said price tags should be attached to the apparel items at the factories only and not at the showrooms or retail outlets while also underlining changing of price tags has reportedly been noticed during market drives in the past one year.
In most cases, the prices went up after the change was made, reportedly claimed the Director of the DNCRP.
